I just got back from the art store with new and exciting supplies, so expect at least a little more art soon.

Wow, the con was amazing and I am now cripplingly depressed from being home.

I loved getting to hang out with so many awesome fan artists and authors! And it actually reminded me that I do still need to draw fan art more than just once a year :P In fact, I started a piece on the plane home and fully intend to stay up late tonight inking and painting it. I do not look forward to resizing all my pictures, but I do look forward to scanning the literal butt-ton of art and type up the many writings I got.

Firstly, I am really looking forward to tracking everyone down from the con so we can stay in touch. Secondly, I am looking forward to hanging out with Ginny and road tripping to Token's place! Thirdly, I am looking forward to making a few silly communities with Rana. But most of all, I look forward to being as active in fandom as I can be.

I love you all and am already registered for Infinitus. Also, if anyone is ever planning a fandom meetup, let me know because I'd be down for that.

I really want to do some art right now, but I need to go to bed so I'm not dead at work tomorrow. Also, I can't art when I get home because I have to make a tailcoat within 13 days. It won't take too long, but then I have to make Ian his ears and his waistcoat, if he can't find either at the store. Oy vey, I'm costuming for two now!

1. I often juggle kittens for spare change on street corners.

4. I can cook a bowl of rice with my eyes. The portion is considered two servings.

6. I had the titular line in a short film entitled Shut The Fuck Up, Mama. The movie consisted of a single scene in which I'm sitting in a bucket of ice and I scream out "Shut the fuck up, mama!". It was never recorded.

I love memes!

I am so worn out and in a bad mood in general.

First, I have to cover someone at my boss's furniture store, then I drop a dresser on my toe and bleed all over my sandal! Actually, it didn't hurt and the blood completely freaked everyone out, which is always good. I got out of closing because of it, so rock on.

But today all the library patrons were extra whiny. You'd think looking up and retrieving your own book was a college student's death sentence. Suck it up, morons, you're in college and are old enough to find your own damn book. The stupidest part is when a student will try to 'trick me' into getting their book by saying it's not up there. Oh, it's not up there? I'll file a trace and you'll have the book in a week. Oh, the whole section is gone? You're an idiot, check the next row at other side of the floor.

My text book that I'll probably use 3 times cost me $130.

And my insomnia's back.



Oddly enough, I'm pretty content with the general things in my life, and even though I'm annoyed, I'm not unhappy. Ah, such is the miracle of being an extreme optimist. Is the glass half full or half empty? HOLY SHIT, FREE LIQUID!!!!

I'm actually really excited about my HP art 100 project... even though I only have 50 prompts on my table. I've decided to do them all as 5.5 x 3.5 inch bristol board and watercolor. This already feels like my 100 skulls project I did last year, which I loved. I think I do my best work when I have to draw the same subject matter repeatedly. I already have three inked and I've already started painting two of them. Watercolors are so soothing to my brain, it's like working with white pastel on black paper, it makes you think differently.

I'm almost done with the tailcoat I'm sewing, but I am not sure if it will come out way too big. I'm hoping it will only be a little too big. Then I can move onto the poet shirt.


I also finally completed the inking for one of my submissions for Tears of the Phoenix ( http://www.tearsofthephoenixanthologies.org/index.html ). I am so productive when I'm stuck at home because of less work hours and extreme Georgia heat!

It just occurred to me that I have no idea which codes work here! I mean, can I just change LJ-specific codes to say IJ?

Oi vey, I gave in and made an Insane Journal. I heartily dislike the color scheme, I must say. And the add on the side is annoying. I will nit pick this journal forever... or just not use it. I can never tell with me. I really don't know why I'm updating, as I don't even have any friends on here.

If Sasha posts on insane journal and nobody is around to read it, does it make a sound? At least it's not *shudder* MySpace. The number of icons is neat.
